Fresh out of the Jack Thompson School of Making Shit Up, Connecticut Senator Gayle Slossberg (D) recently
told The New Haven Advocate that the rape scene in Grand Theft Auto IV, where you earn "points for rape," is so alarming that she'd like to see a law passed that features better warning labels. The problem is that there
is no rape scene in GTA IV. Even worse, my city is one that she represents in the Connecticut Senate. I DID NOT VOTE FOR HER.

Take-Two: 8.5 Million Copies in 1 Month

G-WizZ :: General News
Take-Two
reported their second fiscal quarter financial results just now with some sales numbers for GTA4. As expected, the game's release was a big help to Take-Two's finances, pulling in $500+ million in revenue and selling 8.5 million copies as of May 31. Compared to Halo3 - which was
reported by Microsoft to have sold 8.1 million copies as of January, just three months after its release - GTA4's sales numbers are something Take-Two and Rockstar should be very proud of.
Net revenue for the second fiscal quarter was $539.8 million...Second quarter sales were led by the blockbuster, critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto IV...As of May 31, 2008, over 11 million units have been sold in to retailers and approximately 8.5 million units have been sold through to consumers.
The Vehicles of Grand Theft Auto IV

Work on our
GTA4 vehicles list is finally complete. Thanks to the combined efforts of myself, forum administrators SwissMiss33 and Zaibatsu, and members gta-player and GeoQuin4, we have constructed a
complete list of all 117 individual cars, boats, helicopters, and motorcycles that appear in Grand Theft Auto IV, along with photos of each as well as the name and logo of their manufacturers (where applicable).

While the number of different vehicle models does not surpass that which was in San Andreas, the team at Rockstar took the design a step further and not only added different manufacturers, but about half of the vehicles in the game appear in different "variants" which can include custom paint work, different body styles, painted wheels, rusty "jalopy" versions, body accessories such as spoilers, custom hoods, air intakes, or rollbars, custom trimwork, mesh grilles, and more.
