No they are not... unless you mean they are the greatest at recycling the same crappy pop-punk song over and over, selling out beyond belief, doing nothing original and sucking at music.

I fucking hate pop-punk with a passion, worst music in recent years, Punk Rock is an improvement but I still don't like it. Blink 182 are the worst pop punk band, their songs all follow the same unoriginal layout, and it seems to me all their material is based on crappy pop songs and the odd stupid crappy balad.

It's a shame no one under the pop punk category has any talent at all.

I'm tired of being confused with those type of people.

People will look at me and automatically think I like Blink-182, and all that other shit, and will also think I like any other type of 'white person' music. WTF. No.... I listen to Metal, techno, and funk.

WTF do people have against techno? I'm guessing people think it's just a bunch of 'beep boop beep bop beep beep'. Damn people, actually listen to a music genre before making an opinion about it.

I've heard a lot of Greenday and alot of it sounds the same, pop-punky power chord riffs with vocals thrown on the top.

If they have talent they don't have alot of it, otherwise they would be original and not re-use the same song layout every damn song.

Intro, Verse, Chrous, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Verse, Chorus, Outro

Occasionally a solo that mimics the original riff is thrown in.

They need to be much more original.

Its really annoying to see all these people judging bands based on their image, or genre, or whatever the hell. I wholeheartedly agree with everything JCM has said, and I'm sure that if all the wanna be punk posers out there search a bit deeper, past their ego, they'll agree. Also, I'm not going to question the talent of successful bands. For them to be sucessful, they must be doing something right. And there a hell more lot talented than I am, so I'm not going to judge them.

As for me, I use to like punk, and a lot of other newer music, but since I've payed more attention to classic rock, my opinion has changed. severely. My dad would play the classic rock station when we went somewhere. I'd just ignore it, or ask him to turn the station lol. Now if he turns the station, it pisses me off lol.
