I know there are one or two topics about this already, but they offer no conclusion. It's highly doubtful that Tommy's grave is in the game, as there's no proof at all. Does anybody have any proof that Tommy Vercetti is still alive after Vice City? He's probably not in san andreas, but is he still alive?
SPOILER alert

When CJ and The Truth recruit Dwaine and Jethro to work in the San Fierro garage, Truth says that they used to work in Vice City on boats until the mob took over their business. They can be seen smoking pot when you purchase the boatyard in Vice City, and even ask Tommy for a light. This leads me to believe that the mafia took over Tommy's business' after Vice City finishes.

Tommy's main enemies were the Forelli family, who are still abundant until CJ wipes them all out in the mission "St Mark's Bistro". Could this mean that they took over Vice City and booted Tommy out?

After you save Kent Paul from the desert, you do missions for him and Ken Rosenburg. Ken is back working for the mafia in san andreas. Which is even more proof that the mafia owns Vice City now.

There have also been crazy rumours that tommy can be seen being chased by the police occasionally, and that he's working in Caligula's casino. Both are probably false, but I'll look into them.

Post any thoughts about this, any new information regarding the whereabouts of Tommy, and anything else you'd like, but please, nothing on the guy from GTA III. Yes, he's in the game. No, he's not Tommy Vercetti. His name is Claude Speed. Nothing to do with Tommy. Enjoy (Y)

the forelli's are still around in gta 3..and that wass based in 2000 somethin...so CJ didnt wipe them all out..but yeah tommy maybe did get taken over..but i dont know how..unless salvatore took it back over..since the new gta 4 is supposedly going to be on a new engine when the ps3 comes out...i bet it'll explain everything about what happens to CJ tommy and fido...it would be cool if you could choose who you wanted to be too..cause it would be crazy to be CJ again..and im sure some people would like to be tommy..even though i dont like him much lots of people do

yeah GTA III was set in 2001, Vice City was in '86 and San Andreas was '92. There wasn't many of the forelli's left in GTA III, just a couple of brothers. The idea that Salvatore may have taken over is interesting, as the Leone's seemed to be at the top of the mafia in liberty, so why not everywhere else. If the new game is set after the other 3, we might get some really good answers to what happened to vice city, and to tommy :)

the part about tommy getting chased by cops in SA is false, i have seen gang members and peds being chased AND even getting out of there cars nd fighting them, but i have never seen any instance where the person being chased looks like tmmy. nice idea though (Y)

yeah I heard about it on another thread, somebody said that they were doing the mission 555-WE-TIP and they saw a car go past, followed by a cop car. But the likelyhood of it being tommy is about 0.000000001%

Tommy is alive and well.

Very perceptive Candy, I like the way you think. But letīs take it a notch further.

Dewayne and Jethro are a couple of potheads. Nothing against potheads, but do you really think they would know the difference between 1 Italian hood and the mafia? Hell.. Vercetti became his own family. Thatīs the point of setting up the empire in VC. They were taken over by the Vercetti Family.
Mafia, also known as Cosa Nostra means Our Thing, which just means we do things OUR way. Isnīt that what Tommy did? Remember people, the mob is not one big figure, but many smaller families with power that RARELY reaches out of thier own city. NYC would be an exception because of the size of the city.

Also, how could Tommy hate the mafia if that is the business he is STILL in?

As for Ken being on his own, would YOU keep him around if you were Tommy?

I think you are very perceptive, but maybe too much. I think R* is saving Tommy for some big story in the future. We will just have to wait and see!

ken said in one of the cutscenes he wanted to lead a normal life so he moved as far away from vice city and the people he knew there as possible. He even managed to get off the drugs but got back on them when he started at caligulas. I havent seen the introduction but i read the script at gta-sanandreas.com and one scene shows ken walking out of the fort carson hospital then he gets a call from some mafia guy(i think it was salvatore). I may need to reread the script but you guys can see for yourselves. Heres the link:
GTA-San Andreas Introduction Script
There and if im wrong just correct me. Dont say anything else.

If you've watched "The Introduction" that comes with the 2cd/1dvd combo, you would know that Tommy Vercetti is alive an well, because, when Ken Rosenburg tries to get in contact with him, the person on the other end of the phone denies Rosie's request, not admitting that he's dead.

Conclusion: He's alive, stfu.
