This is because the user-name topic is gonna get closed. So lets continue the ford discussion.
Do you like or hate fords? Why?
Which ford do you like best?
Do you own a ford?
What a sexy ford.

1999 Mercury Cougar
2000 Mercury Cougar
Ford 2002 Explorer
Mercury Mountaineer
Ford Contour
Mercury Mystique
Mercury Cougar
1995 Ford Mustang

Details of the malfunctions are here http://www.underhood...com/us/ford.htm

Cheverolets are built better, in my opinion. And they are overall better.

Some mustangs are pretty cool. But not really my style.

Plus, everybody else is hating ford... right? :ermm:

I like Fords. My dad has never owned a vehicle that wasn't Ford-built, so I guess I inherited that. Currently got a 98 Explored XLT V-8, a 2003 Focus (ugh, I know, not a Focus fan, but it was cheap and it has a manual tranny), and my beloved 95 Aerostar XLT.

There used to be a Ford vs. Chevy thread, but it got closed.

I do not like Chevy. In my opinion they aren't very high quality, nor do they run the best. Corvettes are nice and all, don't look too great, but all other Chevys I don't enjoy.

Mopar used to be cool, but now that Dodge puts that god-awful front end on stuff I con't stand them.

In summary, I like Ford, I dislike Chevy and Dodge, and I am pretty indifferent towards everyone else.

Well I think Fords are a great reliable car. My mam has a Ford Focus 01 hatchback Ghia version.

I'm not a big fan of Fords, there cars are so bad looking it isn't funny. Excpet Lovefist's tempo... dam I want that car.

I do like the classic mustangs because they look really cool but that is about it.

Well, if anyone thinks that Ford's aren't beautiful, I'll just have to change their minds.

First off, for some kick-ass Shelby mustang restorations, check out Unique Performance.

See that? That's a nice looking car right there.

http://files.conceptcarz.com/img/ac-shelby/shelby_350_gt_01_70_02.jpg

That engine came stock in the 1970 Mustang GT 500. Not too shabby.

And thsi is the car that housed that massive engine:

And now for some shots of the classic 1967 Mustang GT 500 (linked for size issues:

That si some classic muslce right there. And just as classic is the update of that beautiy:

And now that I'm done unloading largeish pictures of awesome cars on you, here's some more links:

Ford Shelby GR-1
That car has a Front-end V-10 making over 600 horses, and some beautiful styling lines on it's polished aluminum body.

2006 Ford GT
God, if that car doesn't scream speed, I don't know what does.

I have never owned anything that wasn't a ford, my parents at one time bolth had fords, and it is for this reason that i HATE them so much. I want to get something better soon, around spring next year. I have always been around fords, so I know exactly why they are fucked up. Not sure on the others, but i'm sure they can't be much worse

Yeah, with Ford you definetely get what you pay for. No outstanding deals, no ridicuouls rip-offs. The cheaper cars arent' luxury cars, and they don't try to be.

Fords arent' meant to be top-of-the-line luxury vehicles, they're supposed to run well and get the job done, and I think they do. If Ford was going to make luxury vehicles, then Lincoln and Mercury wouldn't exist.

Well, basically, Chevy and Ford are the same, they have some crappy cars and some really good ones. Usually, people sway one way because of family influence.

I think you're right there. And it all started back in the muscle car days between the Chevelle SS and the Mustang. Every time Chevy had an angine, say a 449, Ford had a 450. it was all about which was faster, more reliable, and once people made a decision they stuck with it. That decision ended up lasting generations. I'm an example of that.

Of course, Mopar kind of died off, but their Hemi was (and is) still a big part of their fandom. They had the 'Cuda, the Duster, the Charger, and all that good stuff.

Well my brother was[probably still is] a truck freak. He could point out and tell the maker of every truck he saw by basic design tendencies.

And I've had a Chevy Surburban, since I can remember[I remember the dealer, that was it...] and its been real good. 10 1/2 years, and I'll probably get it later, if my mom ever gets another car.

My dad owns a Ford Tempo, but it's quite old and doesn't run too well - always keeps breaking down.
