Developer: Ubisoft
Publisher: Ubisoft
Platform: Xbox 360, PS3, Will-U
Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratohnaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Players become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date. Assassin’s Creed III spans the Revolutionary War, taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington’s Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army.

Consider me interested. Once I purchased my PS3 last year, ACII was one of the first games I got for it and I instantly fell in love with it. A beautiful game with beautiful settings, especially Venice (drools). Granted, I stopped paying attention to the storyline at some point as it completely derailed into 'X and Y are plotting Z' and I couldn't care less about people outside of Ezio's main circle. It's not that I don't like an engaging story, it's just that it was poorly done: I still say that the sci-fi link to modernity was trite and unnecessary; nobody pays attention to generic, flat Desmond. Ubisoft know damn well we're there for the historical settings. Still, it was a profound experience.

Still, Ezio was getting tiresome and it's good to see the back of him. Connor may prove to be awesome in his own right.

As an Englishman, I shall voice my concerns about thoughtlessly massacring my countrymen, but it seems that the writing is going to mix things up a bit by having Assassins and Templars on both sides, so that makes it slightly more tolerable. :D

I wonder how the wilderness will affect the whole parkour element. Will this simply be RDR in upstate New York? Time will tell. And then there's the worry that greedy yearly release will impact quality. Hmm...

I pre-ordered the freedom edition as soon as I saw it. I cannot wait for this game, they've expanded so much on an already brilliant game I simply loved Revelations and all the new features they implemented. Consider me excited.
