Borderlands was one of my favourite games of this generation packing in a hilarious number of guns with a wide inventive world, fun RPG/Shooter gameplay and addictive co-operative gameplay it had a sense of charm and allure that few games have. It's part of a wave of co-op games on this generations consoles that have managed to keep me enthralled for years. That said I'm really looking forward to the second title and can't wait to see what Gearbox add and fix.

So... yeah, anyone here play the original? What did you think of it? For me the original and it's expansion packs are games I can just pick up and play now for half an hour to a few hours. For some reason it, like Left 4 Dead never gets boring.

Yeah I beat Borderlands 1 on release and loved every minute of it. This is supposed to have way more guns and stuff so obviously it's amazing!! The big buddah reminds me of Asura's Wrath haha. Can't wait to play it. Hopefully there's alot more variety in badguys too.

From what I've heard the AI in the game has improved vastle and the missions should be a lot better. One thing I will say, as much as I loved Borderlands the story was a bit meaningless.

I absolutely love the graphical style of Borderlands 1, even though I was a really late bloomer as far as playing it went. I adore the graphics on the release date trailer (as well as the promise of "more wub-wub" haha), and I can't wait for this. Just hoping that it gets a Mac release, since I have a few friends who play it on their PC's. I will hopefully be able to convince them to grab it on PS3 to play with me though.

Ahh Borderlands, I have beaten you umpteen times and yet I still love to play you, like an old whore one has grown fond of.

The problem with it was the story was mostly background static and you really learned nothing of or got to bond with your character. They were merely a vehicle for your whole sale slaughter of asshole bandits and murderers. You played Siren not because you were compelled by the character but because you wanted to solo Crewmax like the giant crusty slut it was. From what I've seen they've taken steps to change that. It pleases me to no end that Anthony from HAWP was involved in it.

I will say this however, they seemed very aware of the fact that the story in the main game was not as compelling as it could be. If you look at the DLC (save Mad Moxxi) you can see a progression. They allowed themselves to get a little more natural with their humor in each and made the story a more present dynamic, as well as the npcs which for me made it alot more enjoyable. So seeing as how they learned that while the game was still in its life cycle and even improved it in that period? I'm confident that the second game will be enjoyed on my part for some time to come.

After watching the gameplay video, this game looks epics. I really did love the first game. My friend and I spent countless nights leveling up our characters. I love how you can now duel wield weapons, even if it's only one of the characters special abilities it's still cool, not to mention the enemies look a hell of a lot more brutal now. I loved how the Hyperion company can deploy forces from their moon base, it looked so cool.

So, Nvidia are giving a voucher for Borderlands 2 free when you purchase a GTX 660. I'll be getting that. Said to run Borderlands 2 maxed out on a 1080p display at 74 FPS. WANT!

Only a week and a bit left until the release here in Australia! I'm quite excited. There's also a midnight launch at my local EB Games store so I'm likely to head down to that as I'll be on semester break and bored out of my head.

So excited!! I just ordered a GTX660 last night with the Borderlands 2 deal. Damn thing said it'd be here like on the 25th. I'm pissed! I hope it's quicker than that. Tigerdirect.ca is in barrie ontario which is like an hour from Toronto and 3 hours from me.

Also, i'll just leave this here as my reason for going PC and buying a new video card about it..

Well, I didn't end up getting to the midnight launch but I've got a couple of mates who did - one says this is the best thing since sliced bread, the other says it's boring to start off with... I don't know which one I trust.

Well I'm enjoying it so far, bit of a slow start but funny. That's what you expect from a game like this though.

As a fan of Borderlands 1, (playing it now with my buddy from across the street) I look forward to seeing this in the "pre-owned) bin, so I can buy it for a reasonable price. The co-op is what brings me to a game these days, as I really enjoy anything with a solid co-op setup (split screen, as I'm not wasting $$ on LIVE and shit)

On topic, if anyone has ideas for a good co-op game on the 360, let me know (PM or something?) We've played the Tom Clancy ones, except the latest Ghost Recon, we've played some COD, Army of 2 was excellent, 40th day a bit better again. Tried Kane and Lynch, control/viewing SUCKED big time. Gears was too chaotic for us...we're old, lol.

I was here for around 5 years...maybe more. Then...the internets ate our forum. Frig.

Got my Assassin to about level 35 now, and on my second play-through, I can only play it with a friend though as he is playing the Soldier. The game really does rock so far, there have been a few minor bugs, for instance I came out of my menu and was stuck in place and couldn't move, and had to restart the game. Other than that though it's been good, I like the new equipment.

I bought the first for PC and when I went to install the game it gets to 100% and I get "You cannot use a Backup". I really really really really really really HATE SecuROM. I put the actually disc in and it uninstalls. I had to install this game 2 times. Time to find a no cd patch. Will devs ever learn that no amount of security will stop anyway as it will be cracked day one or before release day.

I bought Borderlands 2 last weekend and I must say it plays much better than the first. I only put a few hours on the first before I got bored with the sluggish controls.

One thing that I find very annoying is the variable difficulty. I am on the missing for Tiny Tina where you have to fight off waves and the first go around I beat it on the first try but right as I was finishing off the last of the enemies the game froze and I had to do it all over again. I lost about 40 minutes of gameplay when that happened. It is the second lockup at that.

Well since then I am unable to beat the waves. The difficulty seems to have doubled. The waves come in faster and more grouped together giving me almost no chance of killing them all before I either die or the generator gets destroyed. I noticed the same thing on the objective prior because I took out all of the enemies without any issue. Second time around I was almost killed by 3 badasses that all came at me at once.
